Nissan is bringing back the Rock Creek model in their 2023 Nissan Pathfinder lineup. The rugged midsize SUV will feature a lifted suspension, a roof rack with a 220-pound weight limit, 18-inch wheels, and Toyo All-Terrain tires, all of which differs from other Pathfinder models. In terms of styling, the Rock Creek has a different front fascia, grille, and Rock Creek badges on the front doors and tailgate. The exterior is available in six colors.
All-wheel drive is standard on the Rock Creek. Revised fuel mapping allows the 3.5-liter V6 engine to generate an additional 11 horsepower and 11 pound-feet of torque for a total of 295 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque to power you through Scranton. In comparison, other Pathfinder models have a horsepower rating of 284.
Interior features in the 2023 Rock Creek include leatherette and fabric upholstery with orange stitching for contrast. The seats feature Rock Creek logos. Second-row captain chairs are standard. The interior is available in four two-tone color schemes.
Pathfinder fans are likely to find the 2023 Rock Creek to be a more intuitively rugged vehicle than previous versions. In addition to fully coming into its off-road character, the Rock Creek's interior remains comfortable with premium features, and the ride quality is as smooth as that of the standard Pathfinder.
